Seven times Grammy winner Coldplay has just finished promoting their 2011 album Xylo Myloto. As one of the best selling acts ever, Coldplay has been ranked a dismal 53rd best overall artist of the decade in Billboard’s but places just 4th with Rolling Stone magazine.

The Queen of Pop, Celine Dion is a five Grammy awards winner that has sold over 200 million records. Ahead of the Beatles, Elvis and U-2, Celine is a five octave soprano. She is currently working on her 25th album, Water and a Flame.

Eminem has piled thirteen Grammy awards thus far in his career, an Academy Award for Best Original Song, and has been nominated best artist of the decade by several music industry magazines including Billboard and Rolling Stone. His most recent solo album, Recovery, was released in 2010 and he is, according to the latest information working on a new album as of May 2012. The foul-mouthed rapper has so far sold more than 90 million albums worldwide.

Avril has been away for a little while working on her fifth and as yet untitled album, due for release in late 2012 or early 2013. Rumors has it this set will be musically opposite to her prior success, Goodbye Lullaby. Billboard ranks Avril as the 28th overall best act of the decade.

Mariah Carey has only five Grammy awards and has been named one of the top artists of all time, as well as having made numerous top lists for female performers. Her soprano voice can span a range of 5 octaves. She has sold over 200 million records and currently working on her 14th album due in 2013.

Currently touring in Europe promoting their Here and Now album, Nickleback has been rated Billboard’s 7th overall best act of the decade and going strong.

Swift is a six times Grammy winner and currently working on her fourth album, Red, to be released in October of 2012. Her biggest influence has been Country Queen Shania Twain.

Norah Jones has racked up nine Grammy awards in a short time period. Billboard puts her as the top jazz artist of the decade. Her fifth album, Little Broken Hearts was released earlier this year on Blue Note Records/EMI.

The three time Grammy winning UK group is considered one of the very top bands of the decade. Currently on tour promoting their 2011 album, King of Limbs, the troupe is winding through its schedule in Europe.

With only one Grammy, Chicago is considered a legend, one of the longest running bands along with the Beach Boys having the most singles and albums climb up the chart on Billboard’s.
