Disney’s TRON Legacy introduced the band Daft Punk to new audiences with the 2010 blockbuster film
Gold on the Ceiling is a great rock n’roll track from The Black Keys with a refreshing sound - lots of rough edges and a gritty melancholic country music flavor to it, but very high energy. A solid track - released from Warner Music Group.
The Smashing Pumpkins are back this year with a popular album, Oceania. Their track The Celestials has made waves already at the top of the charts.
Formed in 2008, Fun is a new rock band that sounds like BSB and NKOTB in its opening riffs on the track Some Nights, a top charts scorcher. However as the song gets going you will hear the band’s own sound.
Train
The San Francisco-based Train sounds a lot like a new Eagles band with their winning tracks Drive By and 50 Ways to Say Goodbye. We just hope they can live up to the Legend.
The Grammy-winning band from Los Angeles has released four albums so far and has two consecutive top tracks on the charts, Moves Like Jagger and their current track, Payphone from their album, Overexposed.
DJ and composer David Guetta has been crossing over the dance, trance and alternative rock genres. His latest track, Titanium, with vocalist Sia has been a chart topper for weeks.
It’s Time is a cut from Imagine Dragons, a newly formed band that just released its third album, Continued Silence. Their FX-laden video garnered an MTV award. Released through Interscope Records.
Green Day is back with a new hit, Oh Love, from their upcoming album Uno for release later this year from Warner Music Group. Oh Love does not live up to Green Day’s previous efforts but their sound is very much present in this cut.
Days Go By is the Offspring’s current hit and title for their new album. Some have accused them of sounding like the Foo Fighters in Days Like These. Days Go By is their ninth album so far, released from Sony Music Entertainment. They do not sound anything like the Alan Parsons’ Days are Numbers.
Their current top chart hit is 45, from their fourth album. With Brian Fallon as lead vocals this band has been labeled as punk rock and yet on this track they sound like the old Bruce Springsteen did. Great music!
